Today I’m reviewing The Typography Colouring Book: Creative Colouring for Grown-ups and for those of you love fonts and typography and colouring in you’ll absolutely love this book as a way of winding down!
I’m a massive fan of fonts and I love learning about the history of typography so after my cities colouring books this was next on my list. What I love most about this book is that there’s no pressure to finish a complete picture. Even if I only find the time to complete a few letters I still feel like I’ve achieved something and definitely feel the more relaxed for it!
The paper is good quality and the range of typography is huge; everything from celtic lettering to Japanese symbols. There’s a small introduction to each of the ‘fonts’ but if you get really interested (and believe me it’s really easy to!) there’s a great book called Typography Sketchbooks by Steven Heller where you can learn all about them!
As you all know, I love my cities colouring books but I think this has become my second favourite! I guess it’s something to do with building and design!
